Galileo 2! was a bit of a letdown. A little boy who is needed as a witness in a murder case claims to have had an out-of-boy experience that let him see the defendant's car. The explanation was a bit too contrived for my liking; not the nifty logic that Macguyver had.

Jdrama to look for: Deer Man in January.

Bleach 146! Nel wasn't a cute as I thought she'd be. Not bad, but the anime story is still too messy and slow. Wish they'd take a break until they have enough manga material to make it a good show.

Music to look for: Gackt's Gundam album in December.

Naruto Shippuden 14! Clicked through the tv channels the other day and saw Naruto on. Naruto's voice actress isn't bad. It's the other characters who have substandard performances. Anyway, in episode 14 in the 'Hurricane Chronicles' Naruto realizes he is caught in an illusion. Itachi used his finger which is painted with nice shiny purple nail polish and not his eyes to pull Naruto under...so sly...not.

Bleach 126! Hitsugaya and Hinamori chat. Chad trains with Abarai. Ichigo is also still training. Ishida is still training. Actually, everyone is training. boring.


Oofuri 2! The subbers aren't too speedy with this show, are they? And is this really a baseball story? The boys go to training camp and have to sleep with each other. Mihashi hides in the closet. Is the show supposed to be reeking of that much innuendo or is this like tenipuri where the innuendo is the story?


Nodame Cantabile 17! It's funny to see Chiaki a little out of it. This episode covers the results of everyone's competition.

Yuki's Biscuit PV is another amusing video from her. It's all about biscuit cookies/crackers. A superhero biscuit, biscuit cheerleaders, a naked baby on a biscuit...^_^. d/l?

Love★Com 4! I hope the writers didn't speed through the beginning of the manga to get to this point and linger because Kotobuki Seiko is ear-splittingly annoying. *ugh, that voice!* Koizumi and Ootani start their second year in this episode. The animation quality went down and I had creepy Marmalade Boy flashbacks. Still, cute show.

Nodame Cantabile 14-15! Nodame and Chiaki visit Chiaki's uncle and his family. Can't say that that branch of Chiaki's family is very nice, but how they crush Nodame's dream and belittle Chiaki's talent is interesting. In episode 15, Chiaki starts the R★S OK while Nodame starts lessons with Eto-sensei.

Bleach 124! Honest to god, nothing happens.

Naruto Shippuden 12! I suppose they call this the lapse before the stroke? Kakashi's gang and Gai's gang each meet up with some nasty dudes from the ghetto.


Romeo x Juliet 4! haha, Romeo was totally hitting on Odin, the boy. If only this were that kind of forbidden love.

y'know, the local news should cover major construction BEFORE it starts...not when it starts.

Anyway, quickie anime recaps from this week...since these episodes were lacking:

Naruto Shippuden 10! essentially nothing happens.

Darker than Black 3! ah~ Heroes starts this upcoming week. This episode reminded me and every other geek of that end-of-the-world scene in Heroes. I forget what happened after that..something with a school girl. No worries though, it's only part one of the story arc.

Nodame Cantabile 13! Great episode which featured a little bit of everyone's graduation piece. Masumi's piece was interesting. I'm not too familiar with Andre Jolivet. Chiaki played the Lizst which was played in the drama by a random person in the competition Nodame was in. The episode also covered the conveyor-belt sushi part, the creation of the RS-ok, and the night-out with the S-ok. A drunk Chiaki waltzing with a drunk Nodame was so cute.

Seirei no Moribito 2! I still optimistic that an anime with this type of quality will become more interesting sooon...I hope. Balsa/Xena and Chagum make some preparations for the run, assasins are sent, there's a nice rice paddy field...

Bleach 122! Pretty good episode. Everyone gets to say how much they suck...in comparison to Aizen's gang.

The second act of Emma looks nice; maybe even higher quality than the first season. I think I may be in the mood for shmoop this spring.

Death Note 23! The end of the Yotsuba arc.

Bleach 118-119! The story of the bald guy and his boyfriend; quickly paced because the writers made it all up. It was full of shonen cliches, but still cute.

Other random-mess:
Yaoi fans should check out chapter 347 of Naruto. I wonder how much the mangaka got bribed to draw that one.

ETA: Tackey and Tsubasa released 2 new PVs, Crazy Rainbow (which is also One Piece's current opening song) and x-Dame. The former PV features the guys being somewhat domestic and cute. The latter PV is best heard on mute and with your eyes closed; ok, peek at them hitting on an older woman and dancing a dance that is beyond normalcy.

..warning: sarcasm ahead...

Naruto Shippuden 3! did lower a smidge in quality. And they used technique No. 873 from the book of How-to-make-a-story-longer. If you've forgotten, that's the sprinkling of nostalgic flashbacks technique. They also use No. 324 which is the adding of random post-episode Learning Session. This episode defined 'Akatsuki' for the fans...since they certainly have no idea who these people are and what they wear. Still, it's an entertaining show and I hope Gaara gets some good action time next episode. I'm quite sad the Kakashi gaiden arc has yet to be animated, but I still have hope.


Bleach 116! introduces some more Arrancar members to the scene. It's probably not worth your time to know their names since they seem like throw-away characters. I think this episode was mostly fanservice for the boyz..and lesbians. Bleach has been using Techniques No. 52 & 325; long previously-shown-on intro and post-episode randomness.

Bleach 114! I was right! They are taking a few extra unneccessary seconds on each scene. Certain places just feel like there is too much of a pause. Anyway, the fight was nice and I'm looking forward to the shinigami's fight. ♥ Hitsugaya!


Hana Yori Dango S2 6! This show makes me laugh so much. It's such a well- produced, fun, modern Cinderella story. This episode features Valentine's Day. As oryssein would say, it's about the chocolate! mmm. Storywise, *spoilers* they are up to the point where Soujiro's past love is about to be revealed and Makino becomes a maid in Doumyoji's house. Have to admit that yes, Soujiro's new look is getting him extra points, but that crying scene in the preview looks oh-so-fake.

And a follow-up on The Trax post. I am so amused by their song, Over the Rainbow ~ rock version. It starts off as an angst-ridden ballad and then there is MEOWing! It's so mystifying. There is also a non-rock version which is less amusing, but here is the rock version for the curious.

Nodame Cantabile 3! Yay! Masumi-chan! Even though he is too gay to find hot, he is still a wonderful character. Instead of throwing alot of characters in at once as the drama did, we get each character one at a time. Masumi is introduced and I like the bit about them practicing Chiaki's composition during Christmas. Evil Chiaki makes me smile.



Bleach 112! The Vaizards are pretty fun. Nothing much happened in this episode. The Shinigami captains have a meeting which means more shinigami action coming up.

..in other news,
Episode 1 of Le Chevaliere D'Eon is up on IGN dubbed. The dub is not bad. The female sounds a bit too whiny-american, but the other main characters are good. It's too bad the series is dead boring and the animation goes downhill after the first few episodes.

Bleach 110! It's been forever since I've watch Bleach...well, it's been forever since they've not had a filler. They should've taken a break and done the series as Tsubasa did. Nonetheless, the anime is sorta back on track with the manga.



Ichigo and pals are back from summer break to find a new student, Shinji Hirako, in their class. Ichigo still fights the occasional Hollow and Ishida still does not have his full Quincy powers. During one Hollow fight, Hirako appears and introduced himself to Ichigo as a Vaizard. He wants to recruit Ichigo. Meanwhile, Ishida is found fighting Hollows with bits of spiritual power he hides in his shirt *ah, open shirt*. His father comes to lend a hand. This episode was a refreshing return to action-packed shonen fun. I hope that the anime does not try to unnecessarily stretch out the manga plot to try and make the rest of the anime last for another 10 years.

Death Note was licensed by Viz who will release it fansubber style. (ie. subtitled & downloadable) Let's see what fun restrictions they think up.
