A couple shows have wrapped up, so spoilers ahead, but no worries, the final episodes just read, 'buy the manga'...

Kuroshitsuji S2 12! the end. While I enjoyed the WTF-LOL between Claude and Sebastian, I didn't particularly like how they warped Ciel's personality to fit the anime-only story. So Alois didn't want the butlers to have Ciel's soul, so he made a contract with Hannah to make Ciel a demon. So Ciel blandly accepting his fate, abandons his life as a human, and hangs out with Sebastian for all of eternity (since Ciel made a new contract with Sebastian so that he would remain his butler). Other than Ciel and Sebastian being together, I don't think Ciel should have that kind of non-personality...and I didn't think Sebastian would lose to Hannah/Alois. ~7/10 rating~ like the first season, I like the atmosphere that Kuroshitsuji presents; macabre with humor. The anime's story however, never ends well.

Uraboku 24! the end. I liked Takashiro's entrance, but man, was that final fight anti-climactic. This is the other type of original anime ending that is annoying. Not an original ending, but it is an open-ended episode. Yuki spreads his God's Light and the bad guys retreat; supposedly, the light makes them see their mistakes. The last we see of Reiga is him sitting by a window looking all forlorn...boo hoo. The 2nd half of the episode was the Zweilts being involved in comedic BL activities. It's a shame Yuki and Luka never got to explore their past; this calls for NC-17 fanfics pronto! ~7/10 rating~ for eye-candy and a tinge of BL.

Denyuuden 12! While Frouade was taking care of troublesome nobles & his perverted father on his land, another pink-haired guy (probably related to the ones after the Alpha Stigma users) attacks him. They have matching glowy rings.

Photobucket

Katanagatari 9! Shichika's next opponent refuses to fight him, if he does not use a physical weapon. She then chooses to train him. Togame eventually conceives of a plan to beat her with Shichika's bad sword skills.

Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood OVA 4! shows a little bit of Roy Mustang and Maes Hughes's time in the army when they were about 18...bittersweet.

Hotaru no Hikari S2 10! Bontaro!

Uraboku 23! Well, everyone goes to save Yuki. They break off to fight the same bad guys they've fought before. I didn't have high expectations of the fights, but Luka and Reiga had an interesting high level battle with cool dragon-demons. I liked the predictable interruption at the end. Yuki would have died if not for the random new character.

Haven't been very excited about anime over the summer recently. Instead [profile] bumpybear has gotten me obsessed over the 'goguma' couple on the Korean reality tv show, We Got Married. The couple involves CN Blue's Yong-hwa and SNSD's Seo-hyun. The interesting part about the show is that you can really see the cultural 'politeness' (and shyness) in the Korean tv idols/popstars which is an extreme contrast to US stars. My favorite parts were the driving test and the kimchi making. Yes, caught up in 4 days....darn addictive show.

Uraboku 22! Would have been a more effective episode if everyone's faces were drawn normally. Yuki steps into the enemy's hands. I wonder who will be doing the betrayal. It would seem that the title refers to Luka, but so far, there's nothing in the story that suggests that he has betrayed or will betray Yuki. Hopefully, it wasn't him that killed Yuki in the past...that would be too obvious.

Kuroshitsuji S2! 10! Sebastian lurks around the mansion while Ciel's soul is still messed up. Hannah has something interesting in her mouth.

Denyuuden 10! Ferris is naturally able to calm Ryner down. There is more ruckus at the palace. zzz.

Another hot week begins. BUT September starts and I'll get some traveling in, and then October/November with more traveling, and then the holiday season with another break, wahoo. What a hot, wasteful summer the past few months were...well, at least playtime-wise. Staying indoors for work was productive.

Uraboku 21! There was some badass guy-on-guy zapping in this episode. It degraded into an amusing staring contest after the CM break. Great episode.

Hotaru no Hikari S2 7! Was annoyed that Buchou didn't apologize right away, and that Hotaru had to make things right.

Uraboku 20! Humorously dramatic again. Cadenza fightspummels Kuroto and Senshirou despite Reiga telling him not to do anything. With the way these fights go, you'd seriously think the bad guys actually don't want to win.

Uraboku 19! We see Kuroto and Senshiro's past. Oh the pain. Senshiro even broke off his engagement to become Kuroto's partner; and the BL fangirls squee. I like the token red-headed bad guy. If he had a chain-saw, that'd be awesome.

Photobucket

Hotaru no Hikari S26! the wedding is back on..I think. I love the fact that Buchou actually wears whatever Hotaru buys him.

Photobucket

Natsuniji 3-4! Taiga's mom thinks that her late husband had affairs with all the women who sent him fan letters. She convinces Taiga that Shiori's daughter is a love child. Of course, there were no affairs, but we find that Shiori's husband past away and she can't forget him. Taiga tells Shiori to forget about his confession, but things are still awkward between then. The show is still failing in the comedy area, but sweet moments pop up every once in a while.

Uraboku 18! I like that Luka was just hanging out in a wheat field in the beginning of the episode. In this episode, someone from Luka's past comes a calling. I suspect that the manga has more cutesy moments than the anime, since the cutesy moments in the anime are rare and pop out of nowhere.

I think anime bloggers are more active when big-name mech anime are airing. There really aren't any mech anime or new shonen anime presently airing or coming this fall...at least I don't think there are. At least there is still eye-candy.

Photobucket

Uraboku 17! Plothole-filling episode with a very pretty flashback; it's all about the hair. Takashiro tells Yuki his point-of-view of the past. The rest of the Zweilts have been sitting around angsting A LOT; Yuki is some sort of drug they can't live without even if it's only been a few hours.

Kuroshitsuji S2 4! Speed x Baccano? Ciel and Sebastian ride a train full of eccentrics and suspicious people only to find that it is rigged with explosions set to explode when the train stops. Very funny episode. Claude has a helluva tongue.

Photobucket

And sure Ciel is a princess or loli-boy or pedo-bait, but did they really need to manufacture such an awesome figure highlighting the fact?

Uraboku 16! Takashiro starts explaining the past to Yuki. Very dramatically, Yuki tears up a couple times.

Uraboku 15! More small screencaps..cause I like their pointy chins. There's a new eye-candy-filled op/ed, but that cheesy opening dialogue is still there, and Rayflower's songs aren't very good. From the new opening visuals, it looks like Yuki is going to blow up the city. Anyway, half the episode was cute & comedic. The second half started off with Takashiro porn and dialogue porn. They even had a butler whose name should be Sebastian. Yuki visits the main house. Hopefully, he finds out that he used to be boinking Luka.

Nurarihyon no Mago 3! Does this have a shortened title, too? like Nuramago or something? The more I hear the opening theme by Monkey Majik, the more I kinda like it; nice pop. Rikuo's know-it-all friend forms a paranormal patrol club and forces Rikuo to host the meeting at his house. A new classmate joins who turns out to be a yokai-hating onmyouji.

Occult Academy 3! There's a blobby tengu on the loose. No highlights or laughs in this episode.
