Hotaru no Hikari movie! picks up after the tv drama. Hotaru and 'Buchou' plan to go to Italy for their honeymoon despite Hotaru's extreme reluctance to travel. They meet a woman and her brother who share Hotaru's himono onna characteristics. Through some misunderstandings and such, they help the woman gain a new perspective on life. The movie was a very cute addition to the series. The plot was light-hearted. You'd think that after 2 seasons of the same characters, the humor would feel redundant, but Hotaru is still quite likable and it's easy to smile at her antics. ~8/10 rating I want to visit Civita, too.

Maoyuu Maou Yuusha 1! Spice and Wolf analogies are apt. A hero confronts the demon king, a well-endowed one.

+ Cute humor
+ Interesting plot
- CGI animation is stupid-looking sometimes

Quick impression~ Fukujun and Ami Koshimizu team up again in another dialogue-heavy, thoughtful story. Rather than economics, this time they join forces to try and stop war between humans and demons.

Nekomonogatarai (Kuro)! is four-part prequel to Bakemonogatari. It is about Araragi's crush on Hanegawa...or his desire to fondle her breasts. As with the other stories, the humor is a little off-color (ie. Araragi and his sisters), but the production is very appealing. While Hanegawa wasn't very interesting in Bakemonogatari, her importance is made clear in this story. So Kizumonogatari is still on my to-watch list...when it that coming out.

The Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki trailer looks cute.

and Hotaru no Hikari's trailer, too.

Inu x Boku SS 2! The opening visuals are nice. The episode was a bit like Kimi wa Pet as Ririchiyo learns how to keep her dog happy. Kinda got tired of Soushi being so compliant. We get to see Ririchiyo's other form in this episode.

Hotaru no Hikari S2 11! the end. Hotaru looks down Buchou's pants...haha. Though the past few episodes lagged as far as comedy goes, I still enjoyed the season. I thought Hotaru and Buchou's cutesy couple antics were funny. ~7/10 rating~ for this season. It started off strong with Hotaru's silly marriage ideas and with Seno, but slowed down when it tried to be serious with the love triangles.

Mary Stayed Out All Night is the number one kdrama I am looking forward to this fall. It features Kim Jae-wook (Bad Guy pretty boy), Jang Geun-seok (You're Beautiful lead) and Moon Geun-young (Painter of the Wind lead) in a music-centered drama.

Juui Dolittle is an upcoming jdrama with Oguri Shun & Inoue Mao as veterinarians.

Guilty, Akuma to Keiyakushita Onna is an upcoming jdrama with Tamaki Hiroshi, but eh, revenge drama? zzzz?

Runaway/Fugitive is an upcoming kdrama featuring Rain & Daniel Henny, but I have yet to make it through two episodes of a modern korean action drama, so zzz?

A couple shows have wrapped up, so spoilers ahead, but no worries, the final episodes just read, 'buy the manga'...

Kuroshitsuji S2 12! the end. While I enjoyed the WTF-LOL between Claude and Sebastian, I didn't particularly like how they warped Ciel's personality to fit the anime-only story. So Alois didn't want the butlers to have Ciel's soul, so he made a contract with Hannah to make Ciel a demon. So Ciel blandly accepting his fate, abandons his life as a human, and hangs out with Sebastian for all of eternity (since Ciel made a new contract with Sebastian so that he would remain his butler). Other than Ciel and Sebastian being together, I don't think Ciel should have that kind of non-personality...and I didn't think Sebastian would lose to Hannah/Alois. ~7/10 rating~ like the first season, I like the atmosphere that Kuroshitsuji presents; macabre with humor. The anime's story however, never ends well.

Uraboku 24! the end. I liked Takashiro's entrance, but man, was that final fight anti-climactic. This is the other type of original anime ending that is annoying. Not an original ending, but it is an open-ended episode. Yuki spreads his God's Light and the bad guys retreat; supposedly, the light makes them see their mistakes. The last we see of Reiga is him sitting by a window looking all forlorn...boo hoo. The 2nd half of the episode was the Zweilts being involved in comedic BL activities. It's a shame Yuki and Luka never got to explore their past; this calls for NC-17 fanfics pronto! ~7/10 rating~ for eye-candy and a tinge of BL.

Denyuuden 12! While Frouade was taking care of troublesome nobles & his perverted father on his land, another pink-haired guy (probably related to the ones after the Alpha Stigma users) attacks him. They have matching glowy rings.

Photobucket

Katanagatari 9! Shichika's next opponent refuses to fight him, if he does not use a physical weapon. She then chooses to train him. Togame eventually conceives of a plan to beat her with Shichika's bad sword skills.

Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood OVA 4! shows a little bit of Roy Mustang and Maes Hughes's time in the army when they were about 18...bittersweet.

Hotaru no Hikari S2 10! Bontaro!

Eden of the East: Paradise Lost! the 2nd & final movie was a little bit of a struggle to get through. It didn't have the surprise or action that the tv series started off having. Although I thought the premise and certain plot elements involving the game were interesting, there were certain players that the series just skipped by, and the conclusion was somewhat predictable. We do get to see Takizawa's past which was satisfying, but as for where the story goes--think another messiah ending (like Code Geass) with extremely less-WTF, and kinder experience. I think the first movie had better visuals, but both movies didn't give out much in terms of above-and-beyond quality. ~7/10 rating~ for the movies. It wasn't as if there wasn't enough explanation. There was just very little build-up and climax. So much potential story was lost.

Hotaru ni HIkari S2 9! The letter that Hotaru wrote was very funny. Poor Buchou. Is this only 10 episodes?

Hotaru no Hikari S2 8! Hotaru and Buchou have tense moments which leads to Buchou needing space. I don't remember if this episode was funny or not.

Hotaru no Hikari S2 7! Was annoyed that Buchou didn't apologize right away, and that Hotaru had to make things right.

Uraboku 20! Humorously dramatic again. Cadenza fightspummels Kuroto and Senshirou despite Reiga telling him not to do anything. With the way these fights go, you'd seriously think the bad guys actually don't want to win.

Uraboku 19! We see Kuroto and Senshiro's past. Oh the pain. Senshiro even broke off his engagement to become Kuroto's partner; and the BL fangirls squee. I like the token red-headed bad guy. If he had a chain-saw, that'd be awesome.

Photobucket

Hotaru no Hikari S26! the wedding is back on..I think. I love the fact that Buchou actually wears whatever Hotaru buys him.

Photobucket

Natsuniji 3-4! Taiga's mom thinks that her late husband had affairs with all the women who sent him fan letters. She convinces Taiga that Shiori's daughter is a love child. Of course, there were no affairs, but we find that Shiori's husband past away and she can't forget him. Taiga tells Shiori to forget about his confession, but things are still awkward between then. The show is still failing in the comedy area, but sweet moments pop up every once in a while.

I thought I had ice cream in the freezer, but :(

Hotaru no Hikari S2 5! Hotaru tries her hand at becoming a full-time housewife, but realizes she is better at her current job. Of both the love triangle/quadrangle side characters, Seno's character is cute while Konatsu is kinda lame. no bias..ha. Anyway, at the end of the episode Buchou thinks that marriage puts undue pressure on Hotaru to change, so decides they shouldn't get married...cliffhanger.

Natsuniji 2! Fluffy episode as Taiga befriends Shiori's daughter, Umi. Umi's homeroom teacher turns out to be Taiga's older brother who also likes Shiori. I wish the comedy was at the same level as Hotaru no Hikari, but I think that this is supposed to be more sweet than funny.

Hotaru no Hikari S2 4! Hotaru and Buchou try to be love-love-ing towards each other. Hotaru doesn't quite get it, but Buchou is awesomely understanding. Buchou's ex & ex's daughter cause a slight bump this episode.
