Otome Youkai Zakuro 2! eh, the dreaded episode 2 drop in quality. Zakuro and company are hired to exterminate a troublesome youkai at a hotel construction site. There's some sort of lesson about the preservation of tradition within progress. A random narrow-eyed army guy saves the day at the end. I think narrow-eyes usually mean that he has an ulterior motive. Agemaki's cowardice continues to be funny.

Star Drive 2! Nah, while the high-heeled mech is amusing, the show has adrenaline overkill. The cheese-factor doesn't bring any laughs. Also, not warming up to the characters despite the fan-favorite seiyuu. Dropped.

Star Driver 1! Trust Studio Bones to bring some fast-paced action to the new season.

+ Decent production
+ A-list seiyuu cast (Miyano Mamoru, Jun Fukuyama, Ishida Akira, Miki Shinichirou, Maaya Sakamoto, Houko Kuwashima, etc)
- Cheesy & flamboyant action

Quick impression ~ There's a new student at a school on some island where all the main characters have different colored hair. Said student turns out to be the 'Ginga Bishonen' or Galactic Pretty Boy complete with a flashy transformation, flashy outfit, flashy posing and a flashy mech. The nods to all the mech anime stereotypes are interesting, but don't quite deliver a punchline. I did like the colorful production, but didn't take to the droopy-eyed character design. This could either be as extraordinary as Code Geass was or just a knock-off. Still too early to tell. hm-hm.
