Fish burrito in the snow, please.
Oct. 23rd, 2006 06:29 pmAyakashi Ayashi 2! It seems I might be editing my to-watch list since my initial impressions have been a little off. I'll probably have a better idea of how some of these animes really are by episode 5-6. Episode 2 finds Yuki understanding where the dinosaur-monster came from and who the other people who can see the supernatural are. I wish this was a comedy. Although this episode was slow, it still has some mystery that interests me. Yuki is or will be an Ayashi who fights Youi. He has draws out words to fight.
Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto 1! again with subtitles...Didn't really pick up much the first time I watched this and again didn't pick up much the second time. The first episode takes place right when Sakamoto Ryoma dies (apparently that's reallly important and apparently I have learned NOTHING about japanese history by watching samurai anime...other than who the homosexuals might have been). This anime is still intriguing, so I will stick it out to see where the story is heading. Honestly, I have no clue what it is about. There are some interesting characters including the main guy, Yojiro Akizuki, whose eyes glow blue when it's time to swing his sword. Yes, a tad corny...but I am easily amused.
Nana 23-24! Wasn't really paying attention to these episodes, but I did look up when they played the dreaded soap opera music. dum-dum-dum...Where one character is supposed to say something like "the boy you love is really your long-lost twin brother" or "Your dead girlfriend is actually alive in Kansas." Even non-Hachi Nana is starting to act that way, so I think I'll drop this show (this might be the tenth time I'd said that). In these episodes, everyone contemplates how they thought Hachi was their pet. Nobu brings himself to confess to her. Hachi is all happy-happy with Takumi. Shin and Reira start their love drama. Darn, and I thought Shin was cute, but when he started speaking engrish while trying to be 'cool'...buwha hahaahahaa.
