The Demon King Nendoroid comes with its own Hero body pillow!...that's such an adorable face.

The new fairy figures are also cute.

Kuroshitsuji S2 4! Speed x Baccano? Ciel and Sebastian ride a train full of eccentrics and suspicious people only to find that it is rigged with explosions set to explode when the train stops. Very funny episode. Claude has a helluva tongue.

Photobucket

And sure Ciel is a princess or loli-boy or pedo-bait, but did they really need to manufacture such an awesome figure highlighting the fact?

Uraboku 16! Takashiro starts explaining the past to Yuki. Very dramatically, Yuki tears up a couple times.

There are a few shows that I don't watch because I can't get into the humor, but all the fandom that surround those particular shows are interesting enough that I wish I could like them. Gintama is one of those shows. There aren't many decent male figurines, but the one pictured above looks awesome. :)

House of Five Leaves 12! the end. Such an elegant way of telling a story. Part of Yaichi's past is resolved at the end. The manga seems to have more going on, since it is only now ending this month. Anyway, I only knew the mangaka from the oji-san romance story and some of her yaoi stories, so I wasn't sure if this was true BL. And while I was expecting more action especially from Masa, it turned out to be more of a touching character study. The unique character design and lovely backgrounds also kept me hooked when the story lagged in the middle. ~7/10 rating~ worth sticking out.

Arakawa under the Bridge 13! the end of season 1. The last episode focuses on completely new characters for the first half of the episode, and introduces some new bad guys in the final few seconds. The series wasn't laugh-out-loud funny and didn't have any high drama, but it had some amusing gag humor and sweet touches of romance. Riku and Nino turn out to be a cute pairing and the supporting characters are all likable. The production wavers at times, but I enjoy the background palette. ~7/10 rating~ for this season. I look forward to the next.

Bakemonogatari 15! the end. Tsubasa Cat gets resolved. I'm not sure if all the delays and online broadcast added anything special to the show, but I do hope it gets licensed in the US. The production was excellent, and the story did well in its moe humor and its seriousness. I really liked the stylistic gore and clean, straight background designs. Even though it seemed a little like a typical harem anime, the harem characters were likable in their weird way. NISIOISIN wrote the xxxHolic novel which I wrote a positive review about (but haven't posted). He's quite a verbose author, and it translated well into the anime. I think these novels are probably quite worth reading (should they ever reach state side). ~9/10 rating~ I think this is a rewatchable series for its visuals and story. This is only the 2nd series to tempt me with their $100 moe figures.

...And onto the new season?

Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakama-tachi 1! this wasn't on my list, but I was bored.

+ Decent production
+ Cute characters
+ Neko-neko knuckles
- but uninspired tsundere main character and typical cast
- and reminds me of a ton of other high school club animes

Quick impression~ Loosely based on various fairytale characters, a group of high school kids belong to the 'Otogi Bank', a club that helps people. Ookami Ryoko is the tough, stubborn main female character. Morino Ryoushi is the timid, newbie male character who has a crush on her. The first episode focuses on Ryoushi's attempts to be helpful and to be accepted into the club. Eh, cute, but not for me. May'n sings the likable jpop opening theme.

Been posting about CLAMP's Blythes at the CLAMP community, but I really like Yukiru Sugisaki's Ascribe to Heaven doll. I am amused at how the genki characters look like drugged-out versions of themselves when made into a Blythe. All the exhibition dolls are previewed here. I also like the Cyborg 009 and Galaxy Express 999 ones. The fashion brand-ed dolls are impressive, too.

This 'African-American' Advanced version doll is very not cute, but hey, someone could create some unique videos with this.

Coming out in April? I want this Bakemonogatari Puchi Nendoroid.

Aoi Bungaku 5-6! This starts off with a refreshing change of pace and tone than the previous story. You see a guy running from a boar who seems to be running from a larger guy, but then find out the large guy just wanted to mug the first guy, but also ends up making the boar a pet. 'In the Woods Beneath the Cherry Blossoms in Full Bloom' by Ango Sakaguchi is the story told in this arc. Kubo Tite designed the characters in this one. There's a jazzy opening with tons of nice visuals. Shigemaru lives in the mountains with a harem of wives until he meets another woman, Akiko, who convinces him to do some horrible things. Finally, it ends under a grove of cherry blossoms; I think this tops the cherry blossoms in Kimi ni Todoke. Very beautifully animated, fun, but mysterious. Nana Mizuki sings nicely in the episode.

Letter Bee 10! Aria tells Lag about Gauche's first bout of memory loss; apparently he was staring at the fake sun one day while his mother was giving birth.

Soul Eater 40! Medusa makes a deal with Shibusen. I like the fact that Maka's father is a competent person despite being a clumsy father. I like the new depressing ending, too; much better than the near butt-shots of Maka.

Photobucket

Kuroshitsuji 11-12! Elizabeth is upset that the present she planned to give Ciel for his birthday is something he already has. She gets lured into a shop with a creepy owner. Ciel enlists Grell to help with the kidnapping case. Pluto also makes a random appearance. Ah, random episode, but Grell's perversions were entertaining.

Kinda wanted Yun Kouga's Gundam 00 artbook, but eh, less than 20 colored pages? And LOVE these 12 months of Gundam figures, especially the summer months.
