Sarai-ya Goyou/House of Five Leaves 1! The character design makes this interesting to watch. Big, round, alien eyes....

+ Interesting style
+ Good production
- Slow start to the story
+ Likable op/ed

Quick impression~ A strong ronin with a cowardly personality joins a group of seemingly good-doer-type kidnappers, Five Leaves. This would probably make a decent live-action drama with the right actors. My first impression is that it is a laid-back show with a unique look. Not totally sold on the story yet, but it has potential.

Arakawa under the Bridge 2! We meet the cross-dressing nun. I do enjoy the nonsensical humor here.

K'ON S2 2! The gang clean up, sell an old guitar and lie to their teacher. There are too many creative shows this season to continue with the moe.

What happens to a community when the subject stops performing? It becomes a dumping ground for icons. But if said icons are banned? Dumping ground for old wares. Gotta get rid of that when the 'new' thing comes around...just as a warning.

Hakouki 1! I tried to watch, but didn't last 5 minutes after I skipped the opening. Bishie Shinsengumi pick up stray wimpy female. Flowing hair just doesn't do it for me anymore.

Senkou no Night Raid 1! Not sure what was going on, but read that this was loosely based on historical events. Japanese spies with supernatural powers do stuff in Shanghai during 1931? Sounds like it should have been interesting, but I blame the production and writing for being bland enough for me to not want to watch anymore.

K'ON S2 1! Four of the five members are starting their senior year. They are unable to attract new members in the first episode. The new opening/ending are fast-paced, cute songs with pop-happy visuals. The episode was a continuation of the previous season with its likable, uber-optimistic characters doing their best to attract the male otaku audience into buying K'ON figures for whatever purposes they deem necessary.

I did get around to watching the Eden of the East: King of Eden movie Part 1. It starts off alright, but the production disappointed later on. Maybe they'll be saving the good stuff for the next two movies? The story continues on, but honestly didn't make any leaps. Still, it was interesting enough to sit through.

Nodame Cantabile: Finale 2! Chiaki moves to a new apartment. Nodame gets another performance lined up. Rui becomes annoyed at her lessons with Auclair. The episode started off with the weirdest image.

Durarara! 3! Narrated by Simon the big black Russian dude. Still not sure where this is going, but still good.

K-On OVA! The Afternoon Tea band get invited to their first gig at a live house. Giddiness ensues. Cute episode, no new songs.

Letter Bee 16! A filler about a pianist and her fan. Zzz... The next episode looks like the story that was told in the OVA last year.

K-ON! 1-13! is an anime about four high school girls in a light music club (which is just a band...not sure what the 'light' refers to.) In the first episode we learn that the club needs 4 members to survive. Yui (soon to be guitarist) is an abnormally klutzy girl who wants to do something new in high school. She spent most of her life being a bum (darn cute flashbacks) and thus, she joins the music club without knowing how to play any instrument. The other three members are Ritsu (the outgoing drummer), Mio (the shy bassist) and Tsumugi (the kind keyboardist).
In the mood for high school fluff??? )
