New season ain't looking so hot....
Apr. 9th, 2010 11:25 pmWhat happens to a community when the subject stops performing? It becomes a dumping ground for icons. But if said icons are banned? Dumping ground for old wares. Gotta get rid of that when the 'new' thing comes around...just as a warning.
Hakouki 1! I tried to watch, but didn't last 5 minutes after I skipped the opening. Bishie Shinsengumi pick up stray wimpy female. Flowing hair just doesn't do it for me anymore.
Senkou no Night Raid 1! Not sure what was going on, but read that this was loosely based on historical events. Japanese spies with supernatural powers do stuff in Shanghai during 1931? Sounds like it should have been interesting, but I blame the production and writing for being bland enough for me to not want to watch anymore.
K'ON S2 1! Four of the five members are starting their senior year. They are unable to attract new members in the first episode. The new opening/ending are fast-paced, cute songs with pop-happy visuals. The episode was a continuation of the previous season with its likable, uber-optimistic characters doing their best to attract the male otaku audience into buying K'ON figures for whatever purposes they deem necessary.
I did get around to watching the Eden of the East: King of Eden movie Part 1. It starts off alright, but the production disappointed later on. Maybe they'll be saving the good stuff for the next two movies? The story continues on, but honestly didn't make any leaps. Still, it was interesting enough to sit through.
