Cute! Kim Hyun Joong's Lucky Guy performances for his new mini album are fun. He hasn't quite mastered the art of lip-syncing. oh well.

Un-Go 2! The brown buildings in the opening song make me think of chocolate. You can guess the culprit in this episode after she's introduced, but the interesting part of this episode is the dynamic between the detective and the information guy who keeps covering up the truths that the detective reveals. The dol-puri, virtual idol software, was a fairly neat idea, too. I don't really get the psycho sidekick with the one question ability, but I'll patiently wait for the all-revealing flashback episode.

Guilty Crown 2! There's no denying that this is a visually slick production. So the controlling government cruelly executes any group of citizens suspected of having the virus. Gai, the leader of the opposition (named Funeral Parlor...hahaha) gets Shu to take part in the resistance since fanservice-girl gave him the 'power of kings', the power to pull an inner weapon out of a person's body. After the first battle Shu refuses Gai's offer, but hey, there's a new transfer student at his school. Despite the great production and numerous female butt-shots, the lack of originality is making me drop this one.

Fate/Zero 1-2! well, I needed another epic-story show to replace the Horizon show.

+/- So-so production (episode 2 was definitely a downgrade)
+ Straightforward plot

Quick impression~ A bunch of people summon Servants who will fight each other to win the Holy Grail which will grant them a wish. I haven't remembered all their names yet, but the first episodes set up good intrigue surrounding each character and their circumstances. There's a slight gore factor, but most of it is in darkness and not explicit on screen; the insect rape? ew. I think I will marathon Fate/Stay Night sometime soon so I can be on the lookout for story connections.

Un-Go 1! another hyped show

+ The most stylistic opening visuals this season, love the palette
+ Decent animation
+ Beautiful scenes at times
- First episode was bland

Quick impression~ There's a murder at a ball, Yuuki and his weirdo sidekick investigate and solve the crime. Can't say that the conspiracy was particularly interesting, but the show has got great style. The weirdo sidekick adds a touch of sci-fi/fantasy. And there were some lovely background scenes with great color palettes. This has potential, but you can tell that the daughter of the rival detective will be the typical whiny character who needs saving.

Guilty Crown 1! watching for the supercell art & music connection.

+ Decent production, really great at times, too.
+ Eye-candy characters
- Nothing new about the story

Quick impression~ Japan suffered from some virus which left them in debt and under the control of other countries. Think Code Geass with a virus. Bored young male student finds mysterious singer (who is conveniently wearing skimpy clothing), and gets caught up in something. Boy gets into trouble. Pretty boy with flowy blond hair saves him. Bored boy gains the courage to save the girl. She gives him power in the form of a big sword. Overall, the set-up will undoubtedly be popular. There's dramatic background music, pretty characters, big explosions & mech fighting. The downside is that there is nothing original introduced, and the mech designs are ugly.
