Heads-up! Many of Diana Wynne Jones previously out-of-print books are being reprinted this year, and being made available on Kindle starting Jan 31st. See Amazon for a listing. Dogsbody and Fire and Hemlock in March. Ya! Anyone read the Dalemark Quartet books? Never read them, should I?

...soo out of all the vampire franchises, which is worth looking into? Twilight? (I think the vampire looks like a caveman and the werewolf looks like a monkey..though it may be my fondness of asian boybands that curb my tastes) True Blood? or The Vampire Diaries? Or should I get back into Vampire Knight. Maybe reread Interview with a Vampire? or actually read Bram Stoker's Dracula?

And a little jp news reel about the VAMPS "FAINAL" concert in Hawaii, thus ending their US tour.
Hey, Eoin Colfer (Artemis Fowl author) is writing the sixth Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy book...is that a good thing? or a bad thing? I've never read any of the Artemis Fowl books, but I like Douglas Adams' works.
Knew Diana Wynne Jones was writing a new book, 'House of Many Ways,' but didn't know it was an actual sequel to 'Howl's Moving Castle.' There's a review here which has tiny spoilers. The book is out in June. Thought 'Castle in the Air' was the sequel, but perhaps not. Any other interesting, potentially fun books coming out this summer?
Finally got around to playing with Library Thing. Started off by plundering some manga off of [livejournal.com profile] akujunkan's list. Wished there was a mass add function or a mass enter function or a standardization function when you've got 20 volumes of the same series or a copy existing tags function. Me eyes got tired at 101, so take a peek if you'd like. It's mostly manga right now...messy...will probably never make it to my normal book shelf. Still trying to think of what kind of nefarious mischief I can use with this...other than browse the lovely lists of others. ♥

Why is it only $2 more to order from the UK than it is from Canada? (using amazon.uk & amazon.ca)

Mentioned by flist, to be looked into--
Bookmooch - Book bartering site. Will start as soon as I feel like digging in boxes.

One of these two...most likely the one Oprah joins....
Library Thing - Cataloging one's books (site's menus are a bit messy).
GoodReads - Similar to LT, but stripped down, and has that MySpace/Friending thing going on.
The live-action Tenipuri movie made it's way over onto Youtube here (no subs yet). I'm glad it retained some of it's corny and gay aspects. Aw~ Ryoma's so cute. (^_^)

...Kurapin is not a fat kitty, but is still a little cute fluff-ball.
...Tezuka's worst aspects of big stick-up-the-buttiness is prevalent in the movie.

ETA: also leafed throught that last Unfortunate Events book. Nothing very stellar, but they are nice books nonetheless and you can't go wrong with an author who thought up the name Lemony Snicket for himself. I enjoy the pretty packaging and cute illustrations. I'm sure I would love them if I were 8 or so, but at my age, I could only get through 3 before I said no more.
