Darker the Black S2 OVA 4! the last one... Fills in Yin's capture. Excellent action and overall pretty awesome episode. These gaiden episodes were more entertaining than the Suou-centric season which was pretty good in itself. I liked seeing so much of the Hei x Yin interaction. The production and bgm were impressive as always.

Shiki 3! The new family of creeps introduce themselves around town...at night...cause they are obviously vampires..but nobody notices.

Denyuuden 4! Still progressing from the previous episode, Ryner is imprisoned for two years, and spends the time writing about his ideal country; a country where afternoon naps are possible. The end of the episode was very cute as Ryner is taken out of his cell thinking that he is going to be executed, but finding Sion has been made king. Lucile via Sion orders Ryner and Ferris to undertake a journey.

Hotaru no Hikari S2 3! is about goya which Hotaru loves and Buchou hates. Very, very entertaining.

Hotaru no Hikari S2 2! Anticipating her marriage, Hotaru tries to learn what marriage is. The first lesson is about saving money. The episode is quick with its comedy. I like her budget plan; the spend as much as she wants plan. The beer and the iberico pig scenes were funny.

Bad Guy 5-6! Jae-In's little sister is amusing when she sneaks in a drink of beer. Anyway, it's a shame Gun-wook is out to destroy Tae-seong and his family's lives. Both guys have similar past traumas, and it would be nice if they were friends. It seems Gun-wook likes Tae-seong enough not to cause him too much harm. He seems to have given up using that crazy Japanese drug dealer, but whoops, forgot to inform the dealer of his decision. The scenarios in Japan between Jae-in, Gun-wook and Tae-seong were played out interestingly; standard love triangle, but different types of interactions. Though Jae-in is cute and nice, she does seem like a dunce much of the time. Ah well, I suppose she's just trying to get by in the world. Mo-ne and her sister are also portrayed as idiotic at times. Gun-wook is quite funny when he pretends his calls drop or simply does not answer.

Hotaru no Hikari S2 1! jdrama. The new season starts off optimistically fresh. *spoil-filled summary* Hotaru Amemiya returns to Japan after working three years in Hong Kong. She returns to work finding some familiar faces and some new faces. One new *cute* face is Kazuma Seno played by Osamu Mukai who is a playful, down-to-earth, nice guy. She returns home to find that Buchou is pissed, rightfully so, too. She hadn't called or emailed in those three years. She only sent one weird postcard. Most of the episode is spent on her getting back into her job, getting to know Seno, and Buchou being pissed..haha. There are some interesting conflicts coming up like Buchou's mysterious woman & child. But at the end, surprisingly, Buchou proposes. :) I think it was smart to not re-introduce Makoto, Yuuka and Buchou's former wife, since the first season mostly resolved those conflicts. I again, hope that the writers bring in some of the manga scenarios, but they are doing pretty well in creating laughter with their original material. Looking forward to the rest. Random note: I wish Naohito Fujiki had a new haircut...

Hotaru no Hikari 2's promo image is cute! Starts July 7th!

Nodame Cantabile: The Final Movement Part 1 jmovie! (tv version) was great. Nodame and Chiaki were charming as always. Loved the extra special effects with the mongoose and Purigorota. The curry incident was so funny. The foreign actors were so well-cast; the concertmaster, oboist with the daughter, etc. The first movie mostly focuses on Chiaki's struggles with his new orchestra. His intense conducting style continues to crack me up. I was impressed at how lovely the production in Europe was.

Hotaru no Hikari 2-10! jdrama. So news of a 2nd season popped up last week, and I vaguely remember not finishing the first season (It had to compete with Coffee Prince back in 2007). I'm glad I came back to this. Hotaru Amemiya played by Haruka Ayase is a hard-working, admirable OL working at a design company. One day her boss played by Naohito Fujiki moves into her home, since it is the home owned by his father. He finds that Hotaru is a slob at home and thinks that she is a 'dried-up' woman who has given up on love. He learns to live with her, and actually encourages her with her crush. The first episode didn't really appeal to me, but it gets increasingly fun to watch the teasing between the two main characters especially when they can't really bring themselves to change their personalities or habits. The supporting characters are pretty nice, too. I enjoy comedies where there aren't unnecessary conflicts that take you away from the main story (*sigh* kdrama). I'm looking forward to the 2nd season. There are some cute manga scenes that the initial 10-episode series didn't cover. I hope the father comes to visit in the 2nd season. ~8/10 rating~ for cheery fun. It's amusing how much Naohito Fujiki looks like the manga character. Must be the wrinkles. ;)

Coffee Prince 5! I shouldn't watch this late at night. Eun chan and her sister eat with too much gusto and it makes me hungry. The supporting characters are really developing well...except for Yu Ju who remains the timid female that all the guys want. For people who just opened a business, why would they go to an apple orchard?--random pretty Korea promo. Anyway, Eun chan gets saved from her clumsiness twice in this episode by the 2 guys she's interested in. *lucky* Han Sung takes her to an art gallery...as a girl. *oh noes*
