Kuroshitsuji S2 5! Oooooh, they fill in almost all the plot holes that existed since the beginning of the season-->amnesia. In this episode Ciel x Alois in drag; Alois obviously does not look as cute as Ciel did in season 1. What's with the slo-mo butt shot of the maid? I wouldn't think this would be a popular show for guys. Exciting times. Next episode, Claude vs. Sebastian?

Denyuuden 5! This is turning out to be a little more interesting than I thought it would be. I wish the production was at a higher level, but I'm enjoying it more than previous fantasy anime I've seen. We are back to the present. The nobles in Sion's court scoff at his hiring of a commoner, and well, end up murdering said commoner. Sion while not immediately seeking revenge, hires an evil-looking prince to up his power. Ferris and Ryner meet an illegitimate son of a king during their journeys.

Shiki 4! The characters still blunder about slowly while more people die. Natsuno thinks he is being haunted by Shimizu and well, he is. I think this is going on my dropped list. The characters aren't acting intelligently enough, and yes, the animation continues to be garish and cheap.

Darker the Black S2 OVA 4! the last one... Fills in Yin's capture. Excellent action and overall pretty awesome episode. These gaiden episodes were more entertaining than the Suou-centric season which was pretty good in itself. I liked seeing so much of the Hei x Yin interaction. The production and bgm were impressive as always.

Shiki 3! The new family of creeps introduce themselves around town...at night...cause they are obviously vampires..but nobody notices.

Denyuuden 4! Still progressing from the previous episode, Ryner is imprisoned for two years, and spends the time writing about his ideal country; a country where afternoon naps are possible. The end of the episode was very cute as Ryner is taken out of his cell thinking that he is going to be executed, but finding Sion has been made king. Lucile via Sion orders Ryner and Ferris to undertake a journey.

Hotaru no Hikari S2 3! is about goya which Hotaru loves and Buchou hates. Very, very entertaining.

Anime-inspired Doctor Who - part-extremely-talented and part-that's-not-the-Doctor.

Shiki 2! The production team really wants to make this Mouryou no Hako, but doesn't have the budget or talent. I'm going to give this series another episode or two, but it's not going well. In this episode, the town doctor and religious guy notice that yes, there have been an unusual amount of mysterious deaths recently.

I wish Madhouse had worked on this show rather than wasting money on High School of the Dead...darn.

Quick impression~ A girl from the sticks dreams of getting away from it all. A new family moves into a castle-like house. There are a bunch of mysterious deaths. I didn't quite like the character design or style of animation, but maybe it'd be better in HD rather than FUNimation's LQ stream. I did try to read some of the manga, but didn't like the manga artist's style, too. Anyway, I am curious about Fuyumi Ono's story, so I will stick with this awhile.


Moyashimon 1! jdrama. I guess this is FUNimation's venture into live-action drama series. Let's hope they pick up some better ones next (not that this isn't good). The anime version was cute and this drama version is fairly equal to the anime. The cgi microbes are cuter than the anime ones though; squishy. The first episode covers Sawaki's first day at college in which he gets recruited into the agricultural club. He then meets the Prof and bondage-fanservice assistant. The microbes provide some educational facts during the show, while the humans provide some slapstick humor. I think the actors playing the side-kick students seem a few years too old, but other than that, it is pretty well-made show. I won't be following this since my interest in germ x human antics stops at the initial squishiness.

...I wonder if I can fit in Hotaru no Hikari 2 tonight...
