End of a long weekend. No more pie.

Been reading some of 07 Ghost. I hate reading movie reviews where all the reviewer does is compare the movie to movies he's previously seen...pssst...NYTimes. Anyway, I'll try not to do that even though aspects of this manga does remind me of other manga. 07 Ghost is about a boy who was kicked out of military school and somehow lands at the church. There's a standard shonen manga setup here with a large cast of male characters who all have powers. The artwork is slick, but sometimes the action scenes are hard to follow. Anyway, what struck me about the first few chapters was that the main character's bestest and only friend becomes reincarnated as the mascot character. It was pretty depressing and I suppose, touching. I think I'll check out the anime when it airs.

Tales of the Abyss 10! speaking of bestest best friends, Guy is a pretty darn nice, fanfic-worthy character. Ion gets kidnapped again and Luke and the others have to save him and the useless princess to prevent war....again. I see a trend.

Gundam 00 S2 9! Interesting things happen, but the best part is when Haro is rolling down the hallway with aaaaaaah~~~~.

Beethoven Virus 14-15! The political happenings seem contrived considering how little a city's orchestra should affect politics. Likewise, Gun-woo's genius seems to be accelerating at an unreal pace. But I did enjoy how Kang managed to be a total arse during the Mouse orchestra's audition. The flower scene was also pretty entertainingly harsh. Well, belittling the new mayor predictably causes trouble for Kang at the conclusion of episode 15.
