Osen 10! the end. *spoilers* The angsty businessman succumbs to the delicious food prepared by Osen and renegotiates the deal with the honkare maker. The bank gets mad and fails to renew their loan to Osen's restaurant. Osen tries to appeal to the bank manager' and his son's taste buds, but actually fails. I actually laughed when the little boy pulled out a ketchup bottle, and squirted ketchup on all the dishes on the table.

When I was younger, my younger cousins seemed to like ketchup alot, but they've grown out of that now. Anyway, the series ends somewhat ambiguously. It seemed to suggest that Osen didn't understand present-day tastes, and that her restaurant couldn't last, but the last scenes proved that she somehow was able to save the restaurant. The show didn't actually show the resolution. She was always able to touch people's hearts with her cooking in the last 9 episodes, but the bank manager and his son weren't moved at all. There was some sort of empty hole in the plot after that. Yocchan's role of trying to help Osen with 'today' solutions never got through to her, but I supposed that her decision to let him go and try to 'spread the word' is some sort of solution. It seemed that each episode had a few plotholes; the last story having a dozen or so unanswered questions. The good parts of the series were that Osen's kimonos were beautiful and the series tried to educate its audience in a warm manner. ~7/10 rating~ Love the opening theme (definitely one that I never skipped over) and kimonos, but the story & acting was lacking omph.
