Love★Com 11! Since we've been through Xmas again, it's time for the New Year...again. I thought it was weird that the live-action movie covered a year so fast, but I guess that's how the story is written; the development of a high school romance at the peak of their adolescence...or something shmoopy like that. This episode wasn't quite as bad with Koizumi moping. Ootani may be hitting puberty sometime before the series ends, yes?

Romeo x Juliet 11! It's a date in the mountains with strawberries, flowers, vows and much blushing. Enjoyed the fact that when Juliet was telling Romeo a story from her childhood, he's like, 'eh...are those flowers I smell?' and runs off. The horsies get some action, too.


Nodame Cantabile 22! Yes! a show without all the cliches. I wonder if anyone who's not seen the jdrama has been watching this. I imagine it might be hard to watch since visually, it's so plain. Having seen the jdrama, and read about half of the 18 volume manga, the anime still enriches the story. I'd be surprised if the anime doesn't get another season especially since both the manga and anime continue to hit #1 on the sales charts. In this episode while Chiaki is preparing the R★S Orchestra for a future without him and some of its Europe-bound members, Nodame has gone to her family's home after the competition. Hey, we get to see Matsuda who will replace Chiaki..but forget about him, the new guy playing the cymbals looks like Ty Pennington. That might be one of the weaknesses of the story; the addition of many new characters who have a name and personality, but might be there for just one clip.
