amused and annoyed
Sep. 17th, 2005 08:51 pmbrokeback mountain...looks at summary...looks a bit gay and a whole lotta boring.
memoirs of a geisha doesn't look as visually stunning as i thought it should. wasn't the male character supposed to be a bit older, slimier, uglier? anyway, been awhile since i've read it. the trailer exudes more hollywood than asia. (like the makeup and facial expressions) what do i know?
have to mention that viz/cartoonnetwork CUT the accidental kiss scene between naruto and sasuke OUT of episode 3. very disappointing. sure they want to prevent the possiblity that some parent might think it's a GAY anime, but within context, it's all very innocent. they've also cut out the blood, tears and boogeys from the previous episodes. turn it off if you don't want your child exposed (parental control is there for a reason). geez. ALSO, instead of two kids accidentally kissing, the network shows us a commerical from a local beer distributor; complete with a song "beer, beer, beer here".
all in all, the edits are not unpredictable. the majority of male watchers probably are thankful that the kiss was not there...ha. the pronounciations off in a few glaring places, but who cares. i may not watch the show, but hell yeah, i'll look forward to the naruto underwear!

Oh and CN do the same thing here (the latin CN) with blood scenes from Rurouni Kenshin and Inuyasha, now they are announcing Love Hina, samurai champloo, Trigun (Naruto too!), and stuff like that, so i was thinking if its going to be 2 minutes episodes ...XDDD
