The previous week had a glob of music releases...most of them are Sony artists...

Uverworld's AwakEVE album starts off with two of my favorite songs, Gekidou and 99/10 damashi no tetsu. Their albums are usually strong all the way through. This is no exception. They always have a couple tracks with something different that make them sound fresh.

Angela Aki's Answer has the lovely overplayed Tegami song, and her voice is soothing, but a whole album of her music puts me to sleep. There's an amusing song about her black glasses which was a collaboration with Ben Folds.

Tommy February6 and Tommy Heavenly6's Strawberry Cream Soda Pop Daydream and Gothic Melting Ice Cream's Darkness Nightmare compilation albums are out. Love the new anime songs, Papermoon (from Soul Eater), Unlimited Sky (from Gundam 00), and I think I prefer Heavenly6's music over February. Pray (from Gintama) is still a favorite of mine. I prefer the guitars than the twinkly pop, but I think most people prefer the pop according to oricon.

FictionJunction's Everlasting Songs with many a remixed anime song was also out. Gin no Hashi from Aquarion Age was always an interesting song...parts of the remix stand out well, but not sure if the whole song is a good remix. Michiyuki and dreamscape sound more refined. Kaze no machi he doesn't sound all too special with Keiko. I don't think I like Keiko's voice much. It's a shame she sings so many songs on the album.
Tengujin by Yumeka Sumomo or Sahara Mizu is another of her bittersweet, romantic stories. In a futuristic Japan where gods sorta rule, a boy, also a god, has to be married and eaten by another god. His twin brother wants to prevent it. It's actually a nice reincarnation story, too. It is/was originally printed in one of those unheard of magazines, so I'm sad Volume 2 is nowhere in sight. Aurora Publishing released it in the US. Their book is printed in Japan which might account for the smoother paper and ink. It's a nice, quick read with pretty artwork if anyone wants to try it out.

Skip Beat 21! Ren's manager's antics and comments are cute. Ren and Kyoko start filming the drama, Dark Moon.

Kuroshitsuji 20! Ciel was not the drug dealer...shock. The overall attention to visuals is decent though the cannonball scene was kinda silly. Lau is revealed as a bad guy and Aberlin is killed off. Sebastian gets slapped twice...oh noes.

Hetalia Axis Powers 5! Um, they (Germany, Italy and Japan) are very gay. I look forward to seeing America and the others.
