I like the whole 2 thing going on in Code Geass..C2, V2, R2, O2...



Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 1! starts off pretty much like episode 1 of the first season as we see Lelouch's personality before he meets C.C. and the ego-mania sets in. It's interesting to see that although he is a bit of a panicky, physically weak guy, his attitude completely does a 180 when he is backed into a corner.

Naruto Shippuden 53-54! I hear this is going into filler-hell again, but not quite right away. In this episode, Naruto and gang continue to try their intervention technique with Sasuke who keeps saying 'no' to rehab. Naruto and gang try to stare him down, but Sasuke and Orochimaru don't care and show off by leaving in a flashy-magician-on-stage manner. And with episode 54, a new opening introduces us to new filler characters. At least the opening song is not as grating as 'you are my friend...aaa-ah'. Episode 54 was pretty cute...covering Sai's very excellent 'how to become friends' techniques. Naruto's training will be covered next. The new ending features the guys in suits. Yay.



Not too overly of Naruto right now, but I want this Kakashi pair!

Yawn, time to take on some bad guys...

This must be the season for bored young boys to be main characters. And then you wonder why kids bury other kids in sand.

Nabari no Ou 1! While Macross F easily tops everyone in the animation quality department, this show & the JC Staff definitely brings some exciting and pretty visuals. Plus, I think this show has 'write-fanfiction' all over it.



+ The main character, Miharu, looks like Subaru (Tokyo Babylon) and Ritsuka (Loveless)'s kid.
+ Cute and funny cast like to play up the boy-love vibes.
+ The ninja action was superb.
+ The op/ed/bgm...all likable. "Crawl" by VELTPUNCH is catchy..reminds me of AKFG.



Quick summary ~ Starts off with an older boy and kid running from a bunch of ninjas. The older boy takes them on, but the kid develops powers and boom. Flashforward to present day apathetic student, Miharu, who doesn't take an interest in ninjas no matter how much classmate, Koichi, and teacher, Kumohira-sensei, talk to him. Some bad guys attack. Miharu once again shows off some power that others really want. (mushishi/matrixy scenes there)





Quick opinion ~ The pastel tone, attractive character designs and awesome action make this a delicious treat for me. The cutesy fanservice made me giggle throughout. I've gotta look up the manga now. ETA: Darn, looks like the scanlators abandoned it...or don't have a translator. Volume 1 is darn-cute. The manga had a few more details than the anime, but I like both.
