seichanI like the whole 2 thing going on in Code Geass..C2, V2, R2, O2...
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 1! starts off pretty much like episode 1 of the first season as we see Lelouch's personality before he meets C.C. and the ego-mania sets in. It's interesting to see that although he is a bit of a panicky, physically weak guy, his attitude completely does a 180 when he is backed into a corner.
The animation is still very good quality and the op/ed songs by Orange Range are likable. I found it funny that fans thought the opening song was sung by a girl when it is the first time another member of OR took the lead vocals...poor guy. The opening suggests a huge cast and a new yaoi-buddy for Suzaku. I was surprised at the the mech that looks very much like Gundam Nadleeh with the hair, and the fact that Orange-kun has some sort of dominatrix outfit on (i think the blurriness makes it look like that). The ending suggests that CLAMP likens this show to X except it has mechs and real fanservice.
Can't really go into the episode without spoiling it, but it simply picks off where season 1 ended...and Suzaku and Lelouch obviously didn't kill each other. Kallen has a much better personality now that she isn't harping on who Zero is, and Rollo...did Lelouch forget about him in the end? Btw, Britannia still eats Pizza Hut.
