Liar Game jdrama episode 1! Interested in this purely for Matsuda Shota who played Soujirou in Hanadan. The female lead played by Toda Erika is a gullible, too sweet student who receives a hundred million yen and a note saying that she is a player in the Liar Game. The players have to trick the other players out of the money. The winner keeps it. The loser is in debt. The girl loses it almost immediately and enlists the help of the hot guy/swindler. It's an interesting concept which is probably best suited for reality television. The drama itself is....eh. If you enjoyed Kurosagi, this appears to have the same type of bad boy with good girl conflict.
Jodan Ja nai jdrama episode 1! Took a peek at this one purely for Ueno Juri who played Nodame in Nodame Cantabile. Apparently, the male lead is popular, too; Oda Yuji, who also sings the ending song. He plays a 40 year old who flys off to France with his 20 year old girlfriend to meet her family and subsequently marries her. The twist is that her mother was a former girlfriend who moves in with them shortly after they get back to Japan...and she keeps giving him lewd looks. ew. The first episode wasn't very funny, but it was shot on location and Ueno Juri's character had a very cute wedding dress. Other than that, the episode was also eh.
Witch Amusement/Yoo Hee kdrama episodes 1-3! This is a funny show; the only one I'd rec out of these 3 today. Yoo Hee is a successful career woman whose subordinates call a 'witch' because of her no nonsense personality and brutality honest opinions. A young chef-wannabe accidentally becomes indebted to her, so she reluctantly hires him as a housekeeper. She suffers embarrasment in front of her first love and turns to her housekeeper for a makeover. Not familiar with any of the actors, but they are all likable (so far). There is even an amusing character named Johnny Kruger...who overuses the word 'OK'. Yummy food scenes are a plus.
