Sherlock 2x03 was more enjoyable than I thought it would be. Do we have to wait until next season to find out how it worked?

I'm also enjoying the slash potential in Grimm...especially the last few seconds of yesterday's episode. Have the fangirls jumped on ship on yet?

Nisemonogatari 3! Araragi meets a weirdo male character...suprise..in front on Suruga's home, and then meets Senjougahara on the way home ending the flashback.

Last Exile: Ginyoku no Fam 14! the battle is nicely orchestrated. While the Federation uses their provincial armies as decoys, Luscinia plans to use Liliana's Exile. Seems the northern country also has their own Exile? Fam heads outta there. I hope Augusta gets a kick in the head soon.

Hunter x Hunter 2012 16! Gon finally gets Hisoka's number tag.

Thermae Romae 1! bath time.

Quick impression ~ Lucius is a Roman architect of baths living sometime after Vesuvius erupted. There were 2 short stories in this first episode. Both were similar. Lucius is taking a bath thinking about a commission. He falls deeper into the water and emerges out of a modern day Japanese bath house in story 1 and a Japanese hot spring in the other story. After experiencing the brilliance of the Japanese baths, he returns to his own time and uses his new knowledge to wow his clients. While the limited animation and stills looked pretty interesting, I'm not interested in watching anymore. The jokes fell flat for me.


Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou 1! High school boys...again

Quick impression ~ Three boys attend an all boys school (and it's not yaoi?). The episode consists of short comedic scenes of the boys being boys. It starts off slow, but the comedy picks up. Although it's similar to Kimi to Boku, it's entertainment value comes from the boys' stupidity rather than cute.

Chihayafuru 14! Everyone starts their individual tournaments. Chihaya is matched against the top Class A player in Japan, zee Queen.

Sherlock 2x02! beautiful landscape shots, love the BBC xover and humor.

Natsume Yuujinchou Shi 1! unexpectedly delved into another Matoba storyline which started off the new season with a surprisingly darker tone; well, as dark as this series can get. The opening and ending theme songs were pretty forgettable, but there were cute chibi-Natsume visuals in the opening and a nice scene at the end.

Fate/Prototype OAD! is a short one-off animation of the original creater's initial concept of Fate/Stay Night. It's interesting that Saber was initially a male character; in keeping with being King Arthur's reincarnation. And that his Master was an angst-ridden, megane-female character. The OAD is a decent trailer-like episode, but I think that's only because the production team is that of Fate/Zero and not FSN. Saber being a prince-like character is nice, but I think Saber being a female character brings a great dynamic to FZ; (probably more appealing to the fanboys, too). In FSN, Saber was unfortunately under-utilized for much of the story and not very interesting to me. I suppose I should expect more possible anime from this popular franchise? Well, as long as ufotable is in charge of the animation.

And the second season of Sherlock has started. The first episode was great fun. I think the fact that Steven Moffat being the writer makes a large difference in how entertaining the episode is for me; same level of enjoyment goes for his Doctor Who episodes. Irene Adler was unexpected, and the end was a bit of sweet fluff. The next two episodes like the first season are not written by Moffat, but I'll try to stay awake through them.

For various reasons, I kept missing BBC's new Sherlock while it was on tv, but the three episodes are online at PBS. It's probably wrong to say that it reminds me of House MD without the hospital (since it should be the other way around). I liked the introduction of Sherlock's brother.

Hey, no surprise, there will be a new Full Metal Alchemist movie. The trailer features Al in his armor, so random filler it is. "finally tell the story of forbidden bonds"..I laughed at the tagline.

Tegami Bachi: REVERSE 7! Finally to the juicy parts of the story. Lag travels north as rumors of Noir spread. He is able to see what happened to Gauche after he lost his memories (but not how it happened). Niche remembers that she was born in the nearby town..cliffhanger.

Kuragehime 4! Tsukimi, Kuranosuke and his older brother go to the aquarium. Tsukimi is not wearing her glasses, can't see them, and thus, is more comfortable with the brothers. Plus, she is excited about the jellyfish. Kuranosuke gets irritated when he sees his older brother comforting Tsukimi. Love triangle established.

Denyuuden 19! Ryner visits a refuge where other children with 'special' eyes gather while leaders at Roland and Gastark are wondering about who Ryner is. Luke catches up to him; cliffhanger.
