Would like some new clothes
Feb. 24th, 2009 09:44 pmHey, With S2 is subbing Project Runway Korea! I've only watched some of last season's Project Runway on Bravo where Leann won, but hey, it's new to Korea this year, and I wanted to see what kind of cultural differences there were.

Project Runway Korea 1! The formula is the same; 14 contestants, a host who is a model, a mentor from a fashion school, 2 judges, a guest judge, challenges, winning a spread in Elle magazine, 50 million won, a fashion show, and a new car, etc. Starting off, the apartment that the contestants are living at looks very small. Each contestant has a roommate and shares a bed which is odd for adults. Other than smaller spaces (including the sewing space), the actual show didn't seem too different from the US. The contestants were as snarkey, shy, snobby as the US contestants. The first challenge was to take 2 pieces of clothing from someone else's suitcase and 1 piece from your own, and then make something that shows off your style. None of the work really stood out to me. Victoria Hong, the non-winner from the US show, was the guest judge. zzzz....
