Mirai Nikki 1! wasn't on my list of to-watch new series, but read the summary about the battle royale set-up using the future diaries, and it sounded interesting.

Quick impression~ Yuki, an antisocial student, would rather write in his phone diary than play with classmates. He gets pulled into a surviver-takes-all game as the first player. The diary phones tell the participants their future up to 90 days in advance. The prettiest girl in the class is revealed to be a participant in the game, too, and is crazy obsessed with Yuki. Oh, the winner gets to be the God of Time and Space (ok, being the 'Doctor' is a pretty cool prize). In episode one, Yuki kills the third player by breaking his phone. While this looks to be a unique psycological thriller, I think I'll skip this one.

Kimi to Boku 2! This is less slice of life the more you watch; I also think that this may be in the yaoi-in-denial genre. In this episode Shun has a thing for tulips, and has a misunderstanding with a girl. He is also afraid of naked girl magazines.
