Lunch Queen 1-12! I may have recced this series before, but I put off reviewing until I saw the whole thingwith subtitles. This jdrama is about a family-run japanese diner-type restaurant, Kitchen Macaroni. One day a man asks a cute young woman, Natsumi, to pose as his fiancee in front of his family who owns the restaurant. She agrees and then is abandoned by the man at the restaurant. His family then feels obligated for her welfare. She finds herself wanting to stay. The series somewhat revolves around the preservation of restaurant and its warmth.
+ Natsumi played by Takeuchi Yuko makes food look so delicious.
+ Food itself looks good.
+ Cute, dorky brothers run the restaurant.
+ Fun comedic show with only a smidge of sap.
Opinion: This is a great, light-hearted drama with yummy food, an attractive cast (Yamapi!), and fast-paced plot. It turned out to be one of my favs. Plus, the end was likable. +++
