Enter, the other girl...
Jan. 13th, 2007 11:36 pmHana Yori Dango S2 2! Domyoji's mother announces Shigeru as his fiancee. Of course, the initial feeling is 'How dare Shigeru get close to Domyoji! Makino and Domyoji are OTP!' BUT, I sorta remembered her being a likable character in the manga...and then I had to dig through the manga to find out why. *spoilers* She, like Sakurako, had one or two 'slut' moments in the manga, but was basically a fun character after seeing the error of her ways.
Highlights of episode two include Domyoji's reaction to getting his ear bit and Akira & Sojirou's date with Shigeru. Can't wait to see Akira's twin sisters who were very cute in the manga (Chiho and Chise were probably derived from them). Anyway, this part had a bit of shoujo schmuck and tears, but the mangaka balanced it out with the supporting cast & comedy and the director is able to do the same. I hope Sojirou's story gets told.
FYI: Both the insane Arashi fan and Sars's subs have typos. Sars tend to use better sentence structure, but they also use darn ugly fonts. *le sigh*
