+ Eye-candy characters
+ Nice opening

Quick impression~ While CLAMP's character designs are easy on the eyes, the production is only slightly better quality than PIG's xxxHolic anime. I think BLOOD+ had overall better production and it's certainly not as nice as PIG's Kimi ni Todoke work. And it's not just the distorted body configuration; it's also the iffy pacing of the episode. Anyway, episode 1 was ok. The twins are cute. Hopefully, this version of BLOOD retains the dark quality of the franchise and develops a good storyline. The Yukito-look-alike looks evil, as does the teacher and cafe owner.

The only feeling this episode left me with was a yen to go out for breakfast and eat those huge slices of buttered toast with poached eggs and tomatoes.

animators certainly do like making anime food look yummy. must be a japan thing. even their plastic food and toy food look delicious.
