Sora no Oto

So-Ra-No-Wo-To/Sora no Oto 1! K'ON army-style.

+ decent animation, nice setting
- gawd-awfully boring opening song (I suspect they might've switched the opening and endings for this first episode)
- dull background music, too
- same old characters

Quick impression~ A small 'genki' girl joins the army, so that she can play the trumpet. She is stationed at a some out-there cliff village. There's some bland village folklore that might be important later. Well, after all that genki-ness, she sucks at playing the trumpet, but the other character is taken by her effort and decides to teach her. Even though this screams AU K'ON!, it was quite boring despite the nice production. The first episode lacked comedy and charm. Judging by the other cast of characters, this may become more fun later.
