Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood 12! ah ha, no creepy storyline about Izumi's 'kid'. The eye-catch was a tad depressing though.

Atashinchi no Danshi 9! The family strives to get the Mother's Goal list completed as they think it is a way to save the company from evil-glasses guy. Evil-glasses guy further plans evil things as he decides to build an amusement park on their home. The sap level is way high in this episode.

The storyline about her kid was creepy--but handled really well, I thought. Didn't he (wasn't he Pride or something?) come back in the movie?

Didn't remember which one he was, but wiki says 'Wrath'. The way he came back and their mother came back were actually pretty good story addins in the first series, but I can't say I particularly liked those characters.

I hated them (especially little Wrath, he was a bastard and he didn't deserve his automail limbs IMHO), but they were well done.
