Mouryou no Hako 1! The Nightmare and Madhouse factors initially gave me a Death Note feel, but the yuri fanservice quickly negated that feeling, and made it feel more like an episode of Jigoku Shoujo.
+ Lovely production and attractive characters by Madhouse
(CLAMP makes nice large droopy eyes and flowy hair)
- Made me yawn a bit in the middle of the episode
+ Nightmare is growing on me
Quick summary ~ A man rides on a train with another man who has a girl's head in a box. Then, we cut to two schoolgirls who give each other stares of deep admiration/lust/creepiness during the rest of the show, but the last 2 minutes are in-ter-rest-ting.
Quick impression ~ Despite my boredom in the middle, the other characters from the opening visuals and the preview look more intriguing than what episode 1 presented. The live-action movie seemed to garner a good following, so I'll probably give this anime a few more episodes to establish its story.
The dead girls' smiles reminded me of Sebastian's smile...haha...um, yeah...Sebastian ♥
Lessee..
What else do I want to
10/9 Nodame Cantabile Paris-hen
10/11 Junjou Romantica 2
10/15 Michiko to Hachin

Date: 2008-10-07 09:29 pm (UTC)i think it's one of those shows where you'll have to watch a few episodes to know where it's going.
hope a good fansubber group picks it up fast.

Date: 2008-10-07 11:46 pm (UTC)I suggest you try skip beat as well. The manga was pretty funny and it gets +a billion points as the main character never tries to get the bastard ex back as happens in far too many shoujo >_>.
