Allison & Lillia 16-26! the end. Seems this show finishes off as quickly as it started.


Lilia and Treize head off in the seaplane with the orphans who are off to be sacrificed to unite Turkasia...wtf. Well, as in the show's usual fashion, everything turns out well. The next arc starts in episode 19 when Lillia and Allison visit Treize in Ikstova to celebrate the new year...and to thwart an evil film director bent on revenge and finding treasure. I'm not quite sure what the overall theme to this anime, but I suppose it could be that treasure isn't always gold; as seen in the first arc and this arc. Or everything always turns out alright if you are naively optimistic; as seen in every arc. Or be careful of who you accidentally kill, their kids might come after you; as seen in the lillia arcs.

After the quickie summer and winter storylines, episode 23 starts spring which brings a 'fiancee' into Treize's life. Is it too weird that Treize really likes Lillia who has the exact same personality as his sister, Merielle? Anyway, Lillia is hilarious when she beats up on Treize. Everyone, Allison, Lillia, Treize, Travas and the fiancee happen to be onboard the same train where someone is hired to kill someone. Lillia is taken hostage. Everyone goes to save her. ~7/10 rating~ for a story that presents war, sacrifice and relationships in the best child-proof way. Although the animation was mid-quality, some of the aerial action was nice. And although the story zipped through 80% of what the audience wants/needs to know, there was a charming and original quality to the overall story. I suspect the original novels would be more satisfying.



Soul Eater 26! Maka shows Chrona around the school and takes her on a mission to investigate a golem. Maka again looks incompetant while fighting. Why do the main characters of the shounen genre always appear so incompetant? I guess it is so we can see their growth later on? Despite that, it was another solid episode.
