Toradora 1! Wanted a comedy to watch and this title was mentioned in many positive reviews.

Quick summary ~ Takasu's scary face frightens his classmates. Taiga Aisaka is a very short girl with a messed-up and violent personality. Due to a misunderstanding, they meet and become friends...or she bosses him around and he lets her.

Quick impression ~ Not really funny, but this is more of a cutesy shoujo story. Takasu reminded me of Kyon (Suzumiya Haruhi) and a little of the guy from Midori no Hibi. He narrates like Kyon and looks like the other guy. He has a way-too-nice guy personality. Aisaka seems like a maladjusted, lonely rich girl. Aisaka and Takasu have crushes on other classmates, and I guess they'll try to help each other out. Not sure this will be a keeper yet.


Kuroshitsuji 1! Servant and young master story that reminds me of some other anime...but it's got an attractive gothic style. Boy with eye-patch is always a plus.

Quick impression ~ There are tons of lovely details in the animation. I hope they can keep it up. The contrast between the humor and horror is extreme, and I like it.
