staying up late makes me hungry

Iljimae 7-8! *sniffles* Thought Yong or stoic-boy, Shi-Hoo, would have saved her. Darn you, angst-loving writers.
The coincidences, conveniences or inevitabilities in the story remind me of Allison & Lillia, but to a greater degree. The writers love to cross relationships and events as many times as they can. It becomes an engrossing fanservice. Actually, it's much like a soap opera in that regard, but less annoying than a soap opera. The wait for a heroic Yong comes to an end as he finally learns some useful hero-skills. His father's training was pretty cute, and I don't think I would have survived if his buddy died, too. For once (in my kdrama watching history), the pacing and development of the story doesn't lag for me. I enjoy watching Yong learning from his mistakes and try different tactics. The assasin/monk didn't get much air time in these two episodes, but he did get his moment of 'yay, good-heart squee' time. I am also amused by the sheer bad-guy-ness of the brother and his father. Passed by some articles which say this show has been doing really well. It could be the Junki-loving crowd making up the high ratings, but all the characters have their own fun or hateful appeal. Not that it doesn't have it's flaws, but the flaws are usually humorous. I was happily wrong in my first review of the show. ^_^
Also realized that I've spelled Yong's name differently in every entry, and went back to change it all to 'Yong'. The subbers are kinda sloppy in their translations.
