seichanI didn't want to start something new until I finished the Deer drama, so
Shikaotoko Aoniyoshi 6-10! the end. Ogawa does eventually find out what the 'eye' is. The show lost its charm due to the lag in the middle of the series after the kendo championship. The characters seemed to flounder about while the deer kept withholding information. The deer actually had more of a fox's personality. The end regained some charm, but the method to restore Ogawa's face? eeeeh, the Japanese love their teacher x student relationships. ~6/10 rating~ for this unique series.
The only options were huge or more huge...or streaming...so I opted for streaming. Got a Orlando Bloom pimping hair gel CM and weird weiner CM with that option, too. :)But the dimensions were off, so I think the caps are squished.
Zettai Kareshi 1! jdrama. This is loosely based on the manga by Yuu Watase. The characters are not in high school and ...umm, I never made it through the first volume of the manga, so I'm not sure what other differences there are. But there's CAKE in this version. Yummilicious-looking cakes and desserts. So cute guys + cakes = female viewership increase.
The characters are ~ Riko - an office lady who works for a cake company and who has bad luck with guys; Soshi - slacker-type 2nd son of the cake company owner who notices Riko after she gives a critical opinion of a new cake; Night - Robo-boyfriend who has a GPS system and superman-like powers.
Quick summary ~ *spoilers* The actor who played the old, ugly version of Oscar in the HanaKimi drama is the object of Riko's affections. Why? No idea. In the first episode, Riko unknowingly signs up to get a robo-boyfriend from some voyeuristic scientists. They monitor him. There is a problem at a cake show. Riko takes the blame for ugly guy. Roshi notices. Robo-boyfriend saves the day. Everyone notices what a great guy he is.
Quick opinion ~ Riko is the typical shoujo genre heroine; kinda bland, stupid and innocent, but the show has that shoujo charm, but it's bordering on sickeningly sappy, but hey, guys who eat sweets like that are hot!
