Gundam 00 10! Everyone is loving fat Gundam's tranformationinto a girly or hippy Gundam; very unexpected transformation. More of the Allelujah's mental instability is revealed and Tiera also looked a bit peckish in this episode. It is usually the 'love' of a good innocent female that gets the Gundam pilots back to 'normal' in past series. I'm hoping that they hold out on bringing that part of the plot in.
Minami-ke 8-9! Hosaka's thoughts and actions are so silly. The bubblegum-blowing part was so cute. Another awesome episode. 9 was also fun even if it just featured the sisters just hanging out at home.
Naruto Shippuden 38! was a filler with bad animation.
Romeo x Juliet 21-24! the end. Forgot that I had the rest of this on my harddrive.*spoilers* Ophelia impregnates Juliet with the seed of Escalus, so that she may sacrifice her life to save Neo Verona. (no, it's really not as interesting as it sounds).
I was hoping there'd be a nice showdown between the Duke, Tybalt and/or Romeo, but there was nothing of the sort. There was some 'freaky' action between Ophelia and Juliet; fanservice, I guess. Romeo was basically a dunce throughout the whole show, and Tybalt who was just there to fill in the 'bishie' space had to smarten up his little brother so he could act like a hero. Though the Escalus tree of life part of the series was interesting, its execution and predictability were poor. Once you knew what the tree was for, the conclusion was clear. Quick rundown: Juliet decides to save Verona by being the new tree. Romeo wants to stop her. Juliet's doubt causes Verona to fall. Ophelia and Romeo kill each other. Juliet becomes the tree that helps save the citizens from plummeting to their doom. Verona lands safely in the water. I'm shocked that noone knew that Neo Verona was a floating island. Says alot about its citizens. I think tying the story to Shakespeare kept the writers from really elaborating on the unique parts of the plot and plus, the animation was pretty poor 80% of the time. Giving this a ~6/10 rating~ which would have been lower had the fan-favorites not had a cute end. Curio saving Francisco. Curio having a grocery store while Francisco being a part of the government. Tybalt looking all manly and hot giving the little kids a ride.
Batman anime shorts - I hope one out of the six is shoujo-tinted.
