LJ's new flag policy would've been a smart move had they not reduced everyone's faith in their system a few months ago. It would also have been a smart move had they even attempted to address the fact that people are idiots and will abuse the tool to flag people they don't like and the fact that anyone sub-18 can pretend to be a 50 year old if they wanted. BUt have you ever noticed that the mods who update the lj-biz/news/etc pages sound like eh, laymen, y'know...like the Verizon 'support' people? not actual intelligent spokespeople or programmers. Thus, the flag policy is just a superficial tool to once again say, 'LJ is being the responsible adult.' Liability in business is a b*tch.

Their new tag limit is plain dumb. This is saying 'LJ's technicians are a bunch of retards who cannot figure out how to fix a simple problem.' Both of these new items don't affect my lj or communities, but this limit is particular is a pain to other larger communities that rely on tag for organization purposes BECAUSE LJ's technicians have yet to create an internal search engine. Why they can't hire/copy the ljseek is beyond my comprehension.

Anyway, has fandom started to move elsewhere yet? Insanejournal and Greatestjournal are pretty ugly. Forums just produce junk. Vox isn't really used much. Definitely not moving back to Yahoo who still has not resolved the spam issue. MSN is still the bottom of the barrel. I guess I won't really worry until LJ starts on the issue of sharing license material. hehe.




Gundam 00 9! *spoilers* A twin!!! Lockon No. 2 appears. More Lockon for everyone. And we get Lockon No. 1's real name. But the Gundams fall prey to a trap. Oh no, everyone's in trouble. This was a very good episode with a ton of interesting story points which I won't get into since it'll just be a play-by-play description. Looks like the fat Gundam gets caught in the preview. Lotsa ♥ for Sergei who continues to be an intriguing character and proves he has a good brain.
