You know how much of what is aired now is influenced on what was previously popular? I wonder if this is the anti-Mushishi...
Moyashimon - Tales of Agriculture 1! It's about a boy who can see and talk to (CUTE) bacteria. He's a new student at a school of agriculture. The gross, old professor and a dominatrix-like professor find out about his abilities. The opening and ending are absurdly cute with the cgi bacteria. Japan has the BEST educational shows. Although the characters are pretty bland, the show is well-made and cute.
