Out of morbid curiosity, I checked out the lovely graphics edits Tokyopop made to their recent acquisition. Unsurprisingly, they have their bestest art person at it again. Since CLAMP's cover illustration is so not outstanding and possibly ugly, they've brilliantly shrunk the oh-so bland cover illustration. And they've possibly found the most beauteous font for the title at freefonts.com to distract the buyer. They also put in random squigglies underneath and to the side to even further say, 'There are frills inside,' since the illustration obviously didn't say that enough. If you didn't know, Tokyopop hires only the most savvy graphics people on the planet! Brings tears to my eyes when I see their edits to those darn, fault-ridden Japanese manga covers.

Is that the final cover art, or no? The tokyopop catalouge my bookstore got says the cover art isn't decided yet *course this was released about 2 months ago* but if it is... bleah. I hate it when they have no concept of design. I was hoping they'd do fine seeing as they kept the Northside/Southside, and Rayearth covers mostly like the original, but now it looks like they got the same person who did those horrid CCS artbook covers.

Seriously, wtf. If the original cover was in ENGLISH, why the hell did they feel the need to change it?

not sure if it's the final art, i have yet to see a cover on amazon that gets changed when it is released.

there's someone in their graphics department that loves ugly fonts.
