It's looks so cheap. Does the outside now reflect the crap inside? Why do they(Tokyopop) keep doing that? --With Demon Diary, Kino no Tabi and a handful of other works with beautiful cover illustrations. Do they not have enough colored ink?

ah tokyopop.... hey at least they were being creative here... have you seen what they did to the covers of the Dragon Knights book? We'll crop out the lovely watercolour bg and put in a lazy photoshop filter bg = JOB DONE.

I like when they let their 13 year old interns take over and make super-cool marketing decisions. It's almost as nice as when they let their interns translate after one semester of japanese language. (>_<)

Or answered, rather. That cover keeps coming up on my LibraryThing for some of my Jadou novels. I *knew* I'd seen it but couldn't for the life of me remember what it was (the LT pics are teensy).

Other than that, I totally agree with you on the butcher job. Way to make the book less attractive to potential buyers...
