Blue Dragon - Ral Ω Gurado is Takeshi Obata's new manga which started in this week's Shonen Jump. He's the artist of Death Note and Hikaru no Go...both of which would have not been as popular without him seeing the new manga by Hikago's writer is pretty bland. Anyway, Blue Dragon starts off with some nudity and touchy-touchy moments. *whistles* It seems like a medieval-fantasy story where a nun-looking female awakens a somewhat genderless (no bits showing) humanoid character who has dragon-like features. I guess he will fight the monsters roaming the land.


Fruits Basket ch 136 was actually the end. As far as shoujo manga endings, it was just as saccharine as big fat cavity. Kyou and Tohru ended up together which was clearly indicated in chapter one. The only loose retarded part was that they never tied the jyuunishi curse to anything significant. So God's soul who had initially made the animal's souls reborn so that they may meet again, ended up with the faithful dog. The previous relationship with the cat just ends? ah well. It's a shame Natsuki Takaya couldn't have let the animal-change go on without it being a burden. The animals just broke all ties with 'God'. It seems that the mangaka changed the intent of the manga when she made Akito a girl, but kept her original jyuunishi background revelation. With that change, it made the end seem a bit too frivolous. It seems that everyone not longer cares about the ties to the family. Maybe an epilogue would help, but all in all, it was a predictable conclusion....and I was reaaally hoping for a twist *cries*. very glad I can leave that horrendously craptastic fb community.

That concert looked so nice..hope the tv special covers everything.

Once again, thanks for the heads up. Blue Dragon looks sounds pretty awesome, and I'm a huge fan of fantasy, so yay! for it showing up in manga. Do you know if any of the usual suspects are posting raws or scanslations?
