...was bored enough to participate in online wank. ah, so fun when people get offended by words that aren't made up to kiss their a$$.
after that (still avoiding the dreaded study activity), i attempted to find more amusement in the happy world of manga...
...and found more Shungiku Nakamura at SiH. Mangetsu Monogatari is a one volume historical comedy which first starts out about Kaguya-hime...and her true identity. This is a very quick and amusing read. The art is not as polished as her recent work, Junjou Romantica, but still has great lines and patterns. I also enjoyed the very sweet flashback story. SiH has also started another of Nakamura's historical comedies, Tsuki wa Yamiyo ni Kakuru ga Gotoku. That one is about a young boy who wants to learn sword-fighting from a mysterious white-haired assasin-type man. The first chapter was pretty cute as the young boy is not deterred anything the man does. Nakamura has weird character naming patterns...or maybe she just reuses the names.
Sih's projects are all usually enjoyable. In particular, Suguira Shiho's Silver Diamond is my #1 ♥. It's another manga that is mostly comedic. It's about boy who grows plants and the people who want him to decorate their backyards...or something like that. This manga has the best group hugs...and some of the cutest dialogue.
