in other weekly news...
Mushishi 21! was a pretty great episode. I didn't quite pick up everything while watching it raw, but it's the first time Ginko's been in real danger.
The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi 7! of course does not pick up at the vacation island, but does get into an interesting episode where Koizumi and Nagato(?)'s special powers are featured. Pretty nice effects and I think there was a reference to another anime in there. Kyon's commentary continues to entertain.
Blood+ 30! *spoilers* Saya and Diva came from some alien-type being. The government's secret ppl brought Saya up nicely while Diva was brought up in isolation as a lab experiment...and you wonder at what kind of intelligent people run the government. Haji is so nice. I also wonder at Saya's Michael Jackson-esque nose.
xxxHOLiC 7! I wish the raw providor(s) would attempt to provide better quality videos faster. It's a tad disappointing to watch the other anime in sharp, nice widescreen mode while the first releases of this show are crap. I guess the nicer versions air at a different time. Anyway, Amewarashi's story is nicely made comparatively to the other episodes. There are definitely some pretty setting-shots in this episode.
