disney's howl's moving castle homepage. click on the "about the film" link to see the synopsis. please tell me they didn't translate michael's name into MARKL. it's like a fansubber's ignorant mistake....an american fansubber subbing in english who isn't familiar with common english names like MICHAEL and ignorant of the original book which is also in english. someone, please fix it.

*edit* ok, it's seems that miyazaki spelled the name, "markl," as is...here's the cast listing. originally, i'd think he changed the spelling so that the japanese would have a better understanding on how to pronounce his name. but, maybe since the character is changed a bit from the original, he felt it appropriate to change his name? markl from the movie is younger than michael appeared in the book. there were other character changes...but their names weren't changed. wasn't suliman a man in the book? etc.

Do let us know what you think of Howl's once you see it. I saw it twice in Japan and, well I won't spoil you with my opinions, but I'll be interested to hear what you think.
