blogs and such...

seichanfond of browsing thru blogs and online journals. could care less about the squealy fandom ones and those ppl who continually blog about life problems. i mainly like those who blog about hobbies and provide links and recommendations. cause when you search for on a search engine, you mainly get the mainstream market, corporate america type sites which is entirely logical, BUt really, it's best to find a blogger who obsesses over the subject and knows what he/she is talking about.
i'm fond of boing boing which updates regularly with various, random, interesting topics. i often find good links through them.
here's a guy who blogs about his experiences in china. so fun. i wish i had chronicled my travels in such a manner. i will in the future...if i ever get the chance to travel for a long period of time again. he has a few links to other ppl blogging about traveling.
here's a guy who is endeavoring to paint a painting a day. and hey, he's selling them. i'm not all that fond of the type of paintings he does, but they're technically well made and i'm quite jealous of the dedication to such a project. i can't even bring myself to do a drawing a day much less a painting. *cries*
here's a woman who blogs about knitting. i've only knitted a scarf. kinda forgot about the stretch factor and it is very long. i've found about pattern i wanna try, so then i can have at least one knitted thing made that i can wear. then i'll stop knitting. kinda getting sick of it.
here's a blog about anime. better and more thorough reviews than my own. i like checking here to see whether it's worth it to d/l an episode or not.
here's the design weblog. kinda nice how they get you tips on how to do simple but effective web design features.
