seichanhouse of flying daggers has a limited release dec 3rd. *weeps* me thinks my sports-crazed city has not even one theater that will show it. but i guess i can wait for a dvd release...the reviews of it aren't great. the visuals are very pretty though. found the d/l file...hmmm....
other happy pretty movies i look forward to...stress happy...'are charlie and the chocolate factory', 'series of unfortunate events' (although, i didn't know they were doing several books at once...and i had hoped the kids would be british aand not a fan of jim carrey...ha ha),'phantom of the opera' (ha ha...just kidding), chronicles of naria, more harry potter movies (i'm still hoping they'll let a company in japan animate one), and 'howl's moving castle' (calcifer is so cute...although he appeared more interestingly in my head than he does on screen). almost forget the 'xxxholic' movie.
hmm...tom hanks as that guy in the 'da vinci code' movie. i bet this'll get more hype than is necessary. i would have pictured jim carrey in the role. the book reminded me of the time in art history...the grad level course where we spent an enormous amount of time playing up the role of homosexuality in italian art. oh, even worse...the time we spent talking about feminism...*gag*..in art. it was amusing to me at first (all the artists and their church benefactors sodomizing everywhere..oh the poor lesbian artists and their abusive husbands)...and then i wanted to throw spit wads at the screen. i think the prof was a lesbian. nevermind. whatever happened to the dragonball z live-action movie? that would have been awfully cute if they took the story from the beginning. the only part i liked is the part where the characters talk about cutting off goku/gohan's tail. gohan in dragonball z. goku in dragonball. hmmm...i think there were more movies i wanted to mention...hey, when's that french animated movie coming here?
