relieving myself of meltdown by eating pocky G which was sent to me by my sis. i understand decorer pocky and mousse pocky, but why pocky G? what's the G stand for. it's pretty yummy. the cookie part is chocolate (i think). also had the same question about men's pocky. why's it for men? ha ha, thought up tons of nice pervy reasons for that, but did find out that they decorate drinks typically made for men with that pocky which is harder than regular pocky. anyway, i like pocky. i could eat like the whole box and not feel guilty. i really want to try out the giant box of pocky...but would feel silly eating that...or even buying it.

the korean version of the stick snack is pepero. there is more pepero to a box, but the chocolate doesn't taste as good. they also have yan yan, but the cookie stick is a bit oily. the dipping chocolate is good though.

korean duk is better than japanese mochi, but then again, if the rice base is fake as it is in commercial brands, it doesn't taste good in either forms. hm...what was that chinese glutinous rice thing called? my grad school roomie made me some boiled in water. it was exactly like korean or japanese rice cake but boiled in water and served like soup. mmmm...

giant box of pocky, or box of giant pocky? don't go for giant pocky! the cookie to chocolate ratio will probably be all wrong. assuming it's the same dipping process and therefore the same thickness of chocolate all around, the amount of chocolate will increase by a power of 2 while the amount of cookie will increase by a power of 3. it's prolly a sneaky way to sell stuff that costs less per unit since it has less chocolate, proportionally. the evil side of my brain is always coming up with ideas like this. good thing i'm not in charge of a company.

i agree that pepero sucks. i think it's b/c it has less chocolate.
