Sekaiichi Hatsukoi 6! continues Chiaki's story. His confusion over who's-who in the love triangle was amusing. There's a noticeable amount of cut-aways from smut scenes in this series compared to that in the first season of Junjou Romantica. I wonder if that is because of external factors after that season or internal decisions.

Anohana 5! Yukiatsu feels guilty about Menma's death and thus, the cross-dressing. Interesting characters developments, but slightly slow-going.

Tiger and Bunny 7! Long, odd-colored hair, evil eyes, odd-colored lipstick and death-like skin pallor are all characteristics of lead bad guys. The show does well at making cliches into entertainment. The city judge turns out to be 'Lunatic' the N'ext who is killing criminals instead of putting them through the justice system. The action scenes continue to be fun to watch.

Ao no Exorcist 5! If anyone needs a pick-me-up, this show is made for you. More students are introduced including a school bully-type character who has a background similar to that of Rin's. It's nice that Rin takes the non-shounen route when provoked.

X-Men 6! The X-men return to Japan and distribute the vaccine to prevent 2nd mutations. They fight another robot and get lost in the snow. Good action, lame plot movers.

Lie to Me 1-2! kdrama not related to the US show. A young civil servant/event planner tells a small lie which gets her into a fake marriage with a rich young business man. What is with all these eligible bachelors being hotel or department store owners. Is that really the only way to get rich in Korea? Anyway, there is a jealous friend, an interested brother, other side characters to mix it up in the usual kdrama ways. The draw is Yoon Eun-hye (from Goong and Coffee Prince), but the set-up is standard and the comedy lacking, so I won't be watching anymore.

I haven't followed Eurovision, but this year's winning song is lacking interestingness.

Anyway, new summer anime:
Natsume Yuujinchou San - surprised this hasn't been licensed for DVD/Blu-ray release yet. It's fairly marketable. The manga is being sold by Viz and there's merchandising potential.

Usagi Drop - a slice-of-life story through Production I.G.
There's also a live-action movie being released soon, too. From the promo images, the production value looks like it will be on par with Kimi ni Todoke. This is about a young office worker who raises his deceased grandfather's surprise child...or something like that.

BLOOD-C - another Production I.G. anime, but I think they are relying on CLAMP and the Blood franchise to sell this one since the promo images don't have 'high quality' written on it.

No. 6 - based on a sci-fi novel with the Studio Bones.

Sacred Seven - Sunrise again with their magical boy shows.
