Not fond of this layout...gotta change

Studio Deen is totally pwning (is pwn a word?) the fanservicey anime this spring.
Already seen Vampire Knight & Junjou Romantica's PVs...
Here's Amatsuki's PV. I like the manga's art and the anime seems pretty well-made, so I'm hoping for good stuff from this series.

FukuJun seems to be pwning lead characters. He's already the lead in Code Ass 2, xxxHolic 2, and also in Amatsuki. He's probably a side character in all the other shows. Remember when Hikaru Midorikawa was in everything...I guess that once you hit 40 in any acting career, you get kicked to the side.

Rental Magica 9-24! been watching this during my half-asleep time. Didn't have much to say about this show since it seemed like a pretty generic evil-of-the-day series, but my enthusiasm for the show went up at episode 16 when Itsuki (FukuJun) stopped being useless and started training with Sekiren. There was even a fanservicey lesbian marriage in episode 21...well, it was for magical purposes...but they were 'hot' for each other. As the series approached the end, Fin Cruda (voiced by Miyano Mamoru) enters and makes it even more interesting since the show desperately needed that yaoi element. His appearance and need to fulfill Honami's wish causes the truth about Astral and Itsuki's forgotten past to be mostly remembered. It was a decent and interesting conclusion. The wiki entry makes me think that the anime simplified much of the story, but I supposed if people made it through the anime, their interest would be piqued enough to continue to read the novels if they could read Japanese, that is. The last episode lacked any really exciting climax, but simply brought up the fact that hey, there's another 'evil' society back there. ~6/10 rating~ for characters with a lot of potential, but lacking in true depth.
