...decided to support the local economy. *spoilers ahead*
Earthian Volume 3 is the conclusion of the main story where Eden, in the form of a giant phallic ship called Metatron, attacks Earth, shadowed smut happens, and the Angels are revealed to be aliens. This volume isn't as fun as the previous since it's too full of angst and action, but it's very touching. It looks like the OVA's last plotline with Messiah was independent of the manga which I didn't know. The manga's story was equally if not more interesting since Kagetsuya and Chihaya's trial and battle are drawn out. Kagetsuya is alot more ...uke-ish in the manga than I'd originally thought. Blu's release again includes the colored illos in the front and middle. Again, I like the contrast of Yun Kouga's revamped art and original art. +++
Angel Diary Volume 2 continues Dong Wong's adventures as an angel princess on earth. The story starts out as Bi-wal saves her from a water spirit. Her identity is in trouble as stuff happens. Seriously read this in 30 minutes. It's a cute, fact-paced fluffy manhua with many cross-gender-type jokes. Kara's art is really slick and sorta like Yukiru Sugisaki or old-school CLAMP. Wish the story had a little more substance, but it's a fun read nonetheless. As usual, Ice Kunion's release is very tasteful and well-made. ++
(more manga to come...)
in leeching ways...
Tsubasa RC, Naruto, Loveless and Junjou Romantica (hehe, smut) all have interesting chapters out.
Also, read the last part of Merupuri which ended in a typical shoujo fashion...a wedding and smut. It was beautifully fashioned though. Hino Matsuri draws really prettily..the character's wardrobes are similar to Arina Tanemura work. I did like the chunks of character candy at the end of the Merupuri. If only Aram stayed a little kid, the story have stayed adorable...instead of plain predictable.
