books, books, pretty books

seichansomeone said that anne rice's amazon comment went down. hm, i guess inviting buyers to return the book for a refund is a bad idea. finished the book. started off horribly. was pretty humorous. lestat falling in love with every single person he meets is kinda annoying. geez, can't he meet an ugly person now and then? and have a conversation that didn't involve lusting after them? very entertaining ending though. i think all the characters turned into reality television participants. sorta weird.
on a totally different note: this is pretty. i kick myself for being taken in by pretty covers. i did think the $8 book was excellent and would love to read the author's version. i wonder if there will be a not-$200 version. And they're reprinting neverwhere, too. thought that also was an excellent book. i want to reeeaaaad neeeew prettty version.
