a little sleep deprived...
Jan. 18th, 2011 10:55 pmWatched a little of Syfy's Being Human, the Canadian version of the British show. It's pretty much a direct translation of the British version. Even has some of the same jokes y'know, without the charming British accents. The vampire is named Aidan this time around which is probably a nod to the British actor who plays the original vampire. I think actor has a fanbase already, but eh, to his interpretation. The actor who plays the werewolf is sadly not as fidgety as the original. The actress who plays the ghost is eh, ok, too. Overall, not a terrible reboot. I lost interest in the 2nd season of the BBC version and lost interest 2/3rd of the way through one episode of the Syfy one, so hm, not a fan.

Kimi ni Todoke S2 2! It's probably an unspoken rule that when a female character comes between the main characters' happy bubble of couple love, she is annoyingly persistent and uses underhanded tactics to confuse the characters. If a male third wheel tries to break apart a couple, he does so without whining or crying, so thus, it's more tolerable to watch. Anyway, enter Mamoru Miyano as Kento Miura. I'm sure it won't take much prodding to get Sawako befuddled. There continue to be areas of cheap animation, but the episode splashes are always cute, and the colors in that last scene were pretty.
